While both the USS Enterprise and the Fleet crew have their main nemeses, the Borg and Arachnids, these two separate groups of unfeeling cybernetic humanoids and giant vicious insects are worlds apart in their intent and methods of dealing with other species. Still, they also have another element in common that is comparable and poles apart simultaneously. Each franchise features a futuristic version of Earth and their respective associations, the United Federation of Planets and the United Citizen Federation. At first glance, the Star Trek universe and Starship Troopers films might seem completely different, but both titles do share a few similarities.
